I have a rather unconventional path to becoming a full time musician/composer.   As a kid and teenager, I was always drawn to music and while I had essentially no formal musical training during that time of my life, I did play/sing in a few rock bands during high school and college and eventually got bit by the songwriting bug.

After graduating from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia in 1989, I went to work as a certified public accountant (CPA), and later a management consultant, at one of the world's largest accounting and consulting firms for 15 years.  I then worked as a senior executive at a major US/Canadian bank for another 12 years.  Then to keep things interesting, I purchased a home care franchise where for the next 6 1/2 years I, along with a wonderful team,  had the honor of caring for many seniors in our community and helping them to age in their homes safely.

After selling the franchise in early 2023,  I enrolled in the Momentum program at CinematicComposing.com, which was a six month intensive, online composing program, along with 19 other students from around the world.  Working with Marc Jovani, the creator and owner of CinematicComposing.com, and his amazing team of teachers,  I learned a great deal about creating music for film, television, radio, video games and other formats.  During this time, I had the honor of studying with noted composers Christopher Young (Spider Man 3, Creation and many others), Amie Dougherty (Dreamworks Spirit Untamed, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and many others) and Javier Navarrate (Pan's Labyrinth, Sound of Freedom and many others) as well and number of other amazingly talented instructors.

During my time in the Momentum program, I met a number of incredibly talented musicians and eventually formed Valknut Music Production (VMP) with my new friends and fellow Momentum graduates - Gregory Author Bolomey and David Bart.  I am honored to walk this music career road alongside these two super-talented musicians.

Immediately after completing the Momentum program, VMP was asked by Marc Jovani to assist with the scoring of My Husband's Ex (Directed by Doug Campbell, Lead Composer: Marc Jovani) for which we provided many cues.

I also wrote, performed (including vocals) and produced the trailer for the movie Seclusion by Lovinder Gill, a Covid-era thriller that has won a number of awards, including best picture in a number of film festivals and is expected to open in 2024.

I continue to eagerly look forward to working on a long list of projects, meeting as many of you as possible and hopefully, having the honor of creating magical music for your film, tv show, commercial, video game, etc...
